I had a great experience today at the emergency room. I was in and out in an hour and 10 minutes. The doctor and nurses were very concerned about my well being. I'm glad I chose Wilson Hospital for my needs.
I wish I could give zero stars, worse hospital ever. I took my son there because he had been vomiting. He was given antibiotics and a bag of saline. I was charged $ 3,032.00 . The nurse took over an hour to administer the saline because he was apparently busy looking out the window (I saw him, not knowing he was the nurse). I had to finally ask the Dr. was it normal to wait an hour for saline and antibiotics. All in all a horrible and super expensive visit. I will never ever admit another family member or myself there. Also, not very clean for a hospital.
My dad was seen in the ED yesterday. Urgent Care sent him over to rule out a blood clot in his leg. He was taken back immediately. The doctor saw him right away and ran all the necessary tests. All staff was very professional and attentive during his short stay. Turns out he did not have a blood clot and left within the hour. Thank you Wilson Medical for treating my dad so quickly and efficiently!!
i have had a great experience, so far. the hospital is much better in interior appearance compared to Wayne Memorial, my dad has been taken great care of and the food must be pretty good as he eats it all. The Doctor (Borja) has taken time to call me and let me know of test results and has been very available thus far. Nurses and aids have been great.
If I could give less than one star I most definitely would... every experience I have had with them from the ED to L&D it was absolutely awful. To tell a woman having contractions less than 3 minutes apart that "everything is fine to just stay home get some rest and go to see your midwife in the morning, or wait until water breaks take a shower and comd in" is not very reassuring... if I had of waited like they said I would have ended up having my son at home or in the car. I thankfully made the decision to go to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where I went from 3.5cm to 6cm and then my water broke and from the time of my water breaking to an hour later I was at 10cm and already pushing. My whole delivery was less than 4hours. When I went for a false run at Wilson Medical Center that should have been a sign that I shouldn't go back, when I asked the nurse when I should come back her response was "if the baby stops moving, or if you're bleeding"... not what you want to hear when you're 40weeks pregnant... I wanted to know when to come in for delivery. Needless to say my healthy baby was born at Wayne and for future needs my husband and I will gladly make that 25minute drive.
Thanks
Had to come back and edit, because I forgot Dr. Titus in ER. He was also extremely nice and helpful and caring.
